A cat owner has left the internet in stitches after sharing her ginger cats’ litter shenanigans in a clip that quickly went viral on social media.

In the video, shared on TikTok earlier in April by the account @lizstratman, the two orange cats can be seen playing inside their litterbox, make a mess all over the place, as their owner stands there trying to stop them.

The owner can be heard saying to them: “I literally just cleaned this a minute ago, and they’re playing in it! Can’t have kids!”

The hilarious clip comes with a caption that read: “They are always getting into something.”

All pets misbehave from time to time, but there are some steps you can take to discipline them. As previously reported by pet wellness experts Rover, the first thing you can do is to redirect their attention elsewhere.

If your cat is meowing nonstop just get your attention you can try ignoring them, and even though it may take time, they will eventually stop. You can try using calming devices, noise devices, or environmental corrections, like cat-repellent mats, to keep them away from certain areas.

The video quickly went viral on social media, getting viewers from across TikTok. It has so far received over 1.2 million views and 172,400 likes on the platform.

One user, Rave, commented: “I say ‘I cant have kids’ at least once a day because of my cats.” And bettyb000f said: “You need a box that has a lid. I swear it’s a game changer my cat used to dig all the litter out of.”

Danielle G wrote: “When I cleaned and sanitized and put fresh litter in the box. My brown tabby would sit [and] chill in it.”

Ashleigh Marie said: “I love that it [doesn’t] matter if they got to or not. But as soon as you clean it… someone has to come & use it… I don’t get why they do that lol.”

Meowry added: “It’s even worse when they get it on the carpet it’s always gonna be crunchy in that spot.”
