Post Malone’s Super Bowl performance has split opinions online, with the 28-year-old’s rendition dubbed both “impressive” and “horrible.”
The rapper showed off his vocal prowess by singing “America the Beautiful,” strumming the hymn on an acoustic guitar.
The Grammy nominee donned a white shirt, blue jeans and brown corduroy jacket, as he performed for the 65,000-strong crowd.
However, the hip hop star’s wildly different look and sound divided those watching at home, who took to social media to share their thoughts.
“Post really had a glow up omg,” said @banksmunch on X, formerly Twitter.
“I love his voice,” commented Aidan.
“So impressive,” agreed @bruceHebrew.
“Post Malone rebrand really is something to be studied later,” said Air-Rum.
“Post Malone’s rendition of America the Beautiful, was surprisingly beautiful,” wrote @RobotJunkyard72. “Most impressed!”
However, others weren’t a fan of Malone’s interpretation, with Carlos calling it “garbage.”
“Post Malone’s in his youth minister era,” said Roy.
“Why’s post malone come back like he’s going to tell me to stay in school and not do drugs,” asked Alex.
“Post Malone sings like every dude with an acoustic guitar trying to impress a sorority girl,” said Zito.
“He did a horrible job,” said Joe, while Scott Kingan commented: “Can’t believe so many people thought Post was good.”
This is a breaking story and will be updated.
