Prince George’s adorable soccer celebration shared with his parents, Prince William and Princess Kate, has become the focus of a new viral video, as footage from a 2021 championship match has resurfaced on social media site, TikTok.

George is the eldest of William and Kate’s three children and will celebrate his 11th birthday on July 22. The prince’s public profile has increased since the accession to the throne of his grandfather, King Charles III and his role as Page of Honour during the coronation last May.

George has accompanied his parents to several high profile sports games in recent years including both soccer and rugby.

Most recently the royal was photographed with his father applauding their soccer team, Aston Villa, at a game against French side Lille OSC (LOSC) on April 11.

Royal fans have taken to social media to share clips and footage of the royals and their sporting interest since the April 12 appearance, one of which shows the young George leaping up to celebrate a goal during an important international soccer game.

Uploaded to TikTok by user, princess__jo, on April 18, the footage from George, William and Kate’s appearance at the UEFA Euro 2020 tournament final (held in 2021 due to the COVID pandemic), has gone viral, gaining over 140,000 views on the social media site, so far.

The clip shows George jumping up and hugging both his mother and father in delight when the England team scored an early goal against Italy.

The match was a draw and went to a penalty shootout which England lost, 3-2.

The viral clip has received in excess of 3,000 likes and numerous comments so far, many of which have praised the royals.

“Just a great family,” wrote one TikTok user.

“I love this so much,” posted another. “They’re so great. George is such a gentleman and it’s nice to see him able to be happy and celebrate in that moment.”

George and his siblings, 8-year-old Princess Charlotte and 6-year-old Prince Louis, have gained increasing support from fans in recent years, often making their appearances at public events highly anticipated.

The last time the children appeared together in public was for the royals’ annual Christmas Day walkabout on the Sandringham estate in Norfolk, England.

George, Charlotte and Louis walked with their parents and other members of their family, including King Charles and Queen Camilla, to the St Mary Magdalen Church on the estate where they met with well-wishers after the service.

When the public will next see the royals is unconfirmed. They missed the annual Easter service at Windsor Castle on March 31, coming just weeks after the announcement that Princess Kate is undergoing preventive chemotherapy following a cancer diagnosis.
