Prince William and Kate Middleton’s fans used the couple’s body language in clips to clap back at comments Prince Harry made about royal marriages.

The Duke of Sussex told his Netflix documentary Harry & Meghan, released in December, how “so many people in the family, especially obviously the men” marry “someone who would fit the mold” rather than following “your heart.”

The comments were interpreted publicly at the time as a swipe at both Prince William and King Charles III, though Harry did not name any specific royal.

Now, fans of Prince William and Kate Middleton have compiled a montage of clips in which William appears affectionate towards Kate as a way to answer back.

The edit begins with an image of Harry alongside the on-screen caption: “Harry: ‘William didn’t get married out of love.'”

The duke did not say those exact words, though the quote summarizes how his comments were interpreted by some.

It then shows a series of clips of William and Kate appearing loved up, beginning with a moment of eye contact on the red carpet of the James Bond No Time to Die movie premiere in September 2021.

One comment on the TikTok post read: “Not only did he marry for love, he married SMART.”

Another user wrote: “Prince William…Winning again and again.”

And a third said: “You can absolutely tell they’re in love because its the little gestures not the big ones that show how they feel about each other.”

Harry said in the Netflix documentary: “I think for so many people in the family, especially obviously the men, there can be a temptation or an urge to marry someone who would fit the mold as opposed to somebody who you perhaps are destined to be with.

“The difference between making decisions with your head, or your heart.

“And my mum certainly made most of her decisions—if not all of them—from her heart. And I am my mother’s son.”

Harry’s words may in part relate to King Charles III’s engagement interview when he was famously asked whether he and Diana were in love and replied: “Whatever ‘in love’ means.”

However, Harry’s comment was at the time interpreted publicly as a swipe at William as well as his father with royal biographer Robert Jobson among those to respond in an interview with the Daily Mail: “To say the King and Prince of Wales don’t love their wives and only married them because they fitted the mold is simply not true.”
