Prince William holding his youngest son Prince Louis’ hand as he met clergy during Kate Middleton’s carol concert has gone viral on TikTok.
The Prince of Wales guided Louis into Westminster Abbey, London, for “Together at Christmas,” the annual concert put on by the Princess of Wales.
William, Kate Middleton and their children were escorted by David Hoyle, dean of Westminster. TV cameras captured the Prince of Wales putting a protective hand on Louis’ shoulder and touching the side of his head reassuringly. William was also sure to keep a hold of his youngest child’s hand as the 5-year-old made his way through the meet-and-greet, biting his bottom lip.

The moment was shared on TikTok two days ago by a royal fan where it received 76,000 likes and 745,000 views. It was posted with the message: “William loves his children so much He’s such a good father.”
One comment read, “He is making sure he don’t run off,” while another added: “Notice how they don’t care about the protocol like on who should be on the right side of prince William’s.”
Prince Louis was back in the spotlight again on Monday, December 11, when he appeared in a video released alongside Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Kate.
Kensington Palace sent out footage of the young royals helping pick out presents to be given to children of a similar age to them at a baby bank around 6 miles from their home, Adelaide Cottage, in Windsor, Berkshire, in England.
Louis can be seen picking out a gorilla toy and saying, “This is a big guy,” while Princess Charlotte replies, “So sweet.” Their mother Kate says to George: “You can see how rewarding this work is, knowing that you’re helping out others.”
A Kensington Palace press release read: “This follows the launch of an initiative at the end of November by The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood to support families with young children in the lead up to Christmas.
“Their Royal Highnesses visited The Baby Bank in Maidenhead last month, where they packed gift bags as part of the Christmas Pyjama appeal, alongside packing referral bags for local families composing of clothes and toys,” the press release added.
The Wales family have been slowly returning to relative normality after Kate was on November 28 accidentally named in the Dutch-language version of the biography Endgame. The Princess of Wales had been part of a conversation in which King Charles III commented on the possible color of Prince Archie before he was born.
Omid Scobie’s new book suggested that Charles was the individual who commented on how dark Archie’s skin might be when born. Meghan Markle had mentioned the conversation in a TV chat with Oprah Winfrey in 2021, without revealing any names.
Prince Harry in January 2023 said the remark was an example of unconscious bias but not racism, while Scobie’s book added that the king had written to Meghan to clarify there was no ill will or malice intended.
There has been no official confirmation about whether the names are correct.
