Princess Charlotte’s adorable moment as a bridesmaid at a royal wedding has become the focus of a new viral video, as fans have praised the young princess’ cool, calm and composure under the spotlight.

Charlotte is the second child and only daughter of Prince William and Princess Kate. Born in 2015, she will celebrate her ninth birthday on May 2 this year.

The young royal and her two brothers (Prince George and Prince Louis) have gained a growing fanbase in recent years, since they increased their appearances at royal events following the accession of their grandfather King Charles III to the throne.

Charlotte is third in the line of succession to inherit the throne, behind her older brother and father. She has often been praised for her behavior at events and her observance of royal traditions such as offering respectful curtsies to the king and queen.

Uploaded to TikTok by user @amaryllisia on April 13, resurfaced footage of Charlotte aged 3 attending the royal wedding of her second cousin, Princess Eugenie of York, as a bridesmaid has received over 622,000 views on the social-media platform so far.

In the footage, Charlotte and her fellow bridesmaids of a similar age are shown being guided up the steps of St. George’s Chapel to the large front doors. The royal was being helped by another cousin, Lady Louise Windsor, who is the daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh.

The October wind on the day resulted in a slightly chaotic scene outside the chapel, with strong winds blowing around the young bridesmaids and page boys (of whom Prince George was one).

The TikTok video contrasts the chaos with a clip captured of Charlotte, appearing to turn calmly to wave at the crowd of well-wishers and media gathered by the foot of the steps.

The video has gained in excess of 34,600 likes so far and numerous comments, many of which have praised Charlotte.

“She’s a total royal pro,” wrote one user. “Got the wave down, one hand on her skirt. Gonna be a great princess.”

“She always gotta make sure she waves to the crowd, no matter what circumstances,” posted another, with a further comment reading: “‘You all go ahead. I’ve got this’.”
