An Indian state has shut excessive faculties and schools for 3 days after a row over the hijab that has gained worldwide consideration after Nobel Prize-winner Malala Yousafzai weighed in.
The federal government of Karnataka state in southern India took the choice after protests by college students over Muslim girls carrying headscarves within the classroom escalated into violence.
On Wednesday, the state’s excessive courtroom, which was listening to two petitions filed on behalf of among the Muslim girls, requested the chief justice to arrange a bigger bench to deliberate the matter.
