It’s inevitable: Whenever fans see photos of Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe’s adult children — 24-year-old Ava and 20-year-old Deacon — they’re bewildered by just how much the siblings look like their parents.
On Wednesday, April 10, Ava and Deacon hit the town for a siblings’ night out in honor of Ava becoming a global brand ambassador for Vince Camuto’s fragrance line. The duo posed for photos at New York City hotspot The Fleur Room, which hosted the launch party for Vince Camuto’s latest perfume.
Ava was every inch the spitting image of her mom — even channeling a bit of Elle Woods — in a hot pink jumpsuit, her blonde hair pulled back into an updo while two pieces framed her face. Deacon, for his part, was dressed to the nines in a subtly striped white button-down and black dress pants, which he paired with thick-framed glasses.
Ever since Ava and Deacon created their own public personas — which they detail on their respective social media accounts — their followers couldn’t help but notice how they each carry half of their parents’ genes in their faces, simultaneously looking both like Witherspoon and Phillippe at the same time.
Earlier this week, Ava once again drew comparisons to her parents while posting a photo of herself at 10 years old — reminiscing about how free she felt as a child, which she has also managed to channel as an adult.

“I’m realizing lately that I am the person I am now because I was able to express myself authentically & without fear when I was younger. I was so utterly me, and that was great! (What a concept!),” she captioned the Instagram photo. “Simply put, I would love to always live as vibrantly & authentically as I did at 10 years old. ♥️.”
Witherspoon, for her part, replied to her daughter’s sentimental upload with praise. “Beautifully said,” the actress wrote. “We all should feel that free💗.”
While many believe that Phillippe, 49, and Witherspoon, 48, met on the set of 1999’s Cruel Intentions, they had actually been dating since meeting at Witherspoon’s 21st birthday in 1997. After tying the knot in 1999 and welcoming their two children together, the pair split in 2006 after seven years of marriage.
Witherspoon, for her part, went on to marry Jim Toth in 2011. The couple welcomed son Tennessee one year later. They announced their split in March 2023, settling their divorce that June.
Phillippe welcomed son Kai in 2011 with then-girlfriend Alexis Knapp.
