Sounds can be scary for dogs but not for rescued Baloo who seems to enjoy imitating passing trains with a long howl, and his performance is melting hearts online.
His owner Isabella Boone, 25, has shared a video on TikTok (@bully.baloo) of the seven-year-old American Bully mix in action.
Boone, from Houston, Texas, told Newsweek: “If the train is loud enough, sometimes he’ll even greet it from inside the house!”
The video shows Baloo’s “longest good morning woo” which goes on for almost 40 seconds with very little breaks.

Like humans, dogs use different tones of voice and speech patterns to communicate, in this case, it sounds like Baloo is attempting to mimic the train’s horn.
Previously, Newsweek spoke to experts about playful barks which tend to be “like a series of high-pitched yips and yaps, almost like squealing,” according to a Florida-based Bayshore Animal Hospital blog post.
“Whether during play or when trying to initiate play, some dogs can be very vocal,” Preventive Vet spokesperson Cathy Madson told Newsweek. Madson, a certified pet behavior and training expert, said this kind of playful barking can be paired with “loose and bouncy body language.”
Boone, a dog trainer, explained that her dog is usually outside before the train passes before 9 a.m. and sometimes he even says good night to one.
“If he’s feeling extra happy, he’ll throw in an extra train woo at night. Our followers especially love those because they’re rare,” she told Newsweek.
The video has received 12,500 views and more than 2,760 likes.
Boone highlighted “the soul, the vibration [and] the emotion,” that went into the “woo.” His efforts haven’t gone unnoticed either as the comment section has been flooded with compliments.
“While the ball is in his mouth! What a dedicated doggy,” said one user.
Another wrote: “Singing the song of his people! Love it! He’s so adorable!!”
“The ball helps with pitch,” said a third commenter.
A fourth said: “The video I didn’t know I needed! Thank you sweet boi you made my day.”
While Baloo is a huge train fan, not all dogs will be so receptive when it comes to loud noises which is why it is important to desensitize them as puppies, if possible.
