Actor and comedian Rob Schneider has weighed in after a contentious post by a worker-led Starbucks labor union on X, formerly Twitter.

The union shared a post last week that said “Solidarity with Palestine!” along with an image of a bulldozer “operated by Gaza resistance” tearing down an “Israeli occupation fence.” Although taken down quickly, the Washington Free Beacon captured screen grabs and reported the post.

Starbucks does not endorse the union, Starbucks Workers United, an affiliate of the Service Employees International Union, and has previously made it clear that it operates as a separate entity.

However, the post has led to calls for a boycott of the coffee brand.

Florida Senator Rick Scott was among notable figures who shared the post, describing it as “disgusting.”

He called for people to: “Boycott Starbucks until its leadership strongly denounces and takes action against this horrific support of terrorism.”

The controversy came days after Palestinian militant group Hamas led a deadly attack on Israel on October 7.

Meanwhile, Starbucks has filed a complaint in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Iowa against the union for alleged trademark infringement.

The union’s post on X confused many social media users, with its name and logo clearly mimicking Starbucks.

The lawsuit shows two examples of alleged infringement by the union, one, a logo mimicking the classic Starbucks siren logo and another emulating the 40th anniversary version from 2011.

Newsweek has contacted Starbucks via email for comment.

Schneider shared the latest development as covered by The Post Millennial on X with the statement: “Fire them all.”

Newsweek has reached out to Schneider’s team for comment via email.

Many commented on the star’s post, agreeing with him with statements such as “Exactly!” and “Nice to know one celebrity still relates to the average person.”

“No that’s free speech bro. Cancel the canceling,” one batted back.

Another commented: “Rob, your in a union” referencing to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA stirkes in Hollywood.

The call to boycott the brand is similar to those experienced recently by other brands such as Bud Light.

One social media user commented: “Let Starbucks learn a lesson here… same as the Ivy League schools, Bud Light em till they realize they are on the wrong side of history….again.”

Bud Light and its parent company Anheuser-Busch InBev, fell victim to a mass boycott after it partnered with transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney. Coca-Cola has also been hit with similar treatment for allegedly donating to the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation. There were also calls for fast food chain Burger King to be boycotted after it pulled advertisements from the video platform Rumble, which hosts podcasts by British comedian Russell Brand, who has been accused of rape and sexual assault.
