Sierra Leone explosion: Scores lifeless after Freetown oil tanker collision – BBC Information
A minimum of 98 individuals have died after a large explosion when a gasoline tanker collided with a lorry in Sierra Leone’s capital, Freetown.
Gasoline spilled earlier than igniting and the ensuing inferno engulfed bystanders and autos at a busy junction.
Footage broadcast by native media retailers confirmed badly charred our bodies within the streets surrounding the tanker.
After visiting the scene, Vice-President Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh mentioned it was a “nationwide catastrophe”.
He mentioned that the injured would obtain free medical therapy.
