Not sure what to get your loved one this Christmas? A video showcasing one man’s “gem” of a suggestion for those in need of ideas has gone viral on TikTok.
The video was posted by @j.r.i.c.h and has had 6.7 million views since it was first shared four days ago.
A message overlaid on the clip read: “POV Wrapping my girlfriend’s Christmas gift.” The footage shows a man unrolling a tube of wrapping paper on the floor of a living room setting with a Christmas tree in the background. The man is later seen rolling on the ground, wrapping himself in the gift paper.
A caption shared with the post read: “Time to bring this gem back lol.”
If you get stressed about gifts during the holiday season, you’re certainly not alone.
In a December 2022 poll from the American Psychiatric Association (APA), securing gifts was found to be among the potential of drivers of stress during the Yule season for 37 percent of adults in the U.S.
Worries over affording holiday gifts (50 percent) and meals (39 percent) were also among the potential causes of stress during festive season, the survey found.
A November 2023 poll by Gallup found that Americans plan to spend an average of $923 on Christmas and other holiday gifts.
According to the poll, the majority plan to spend at least $500, including just over a third (35 percent) who say they’ll spend $1,000 or more. Nearly nine in 10 adults say they’ll spend “something” on Christmas or other holiday gifts this year, even if it be only a minimal amount, the poll found.
According to an October-November 2022 survey by Statista, around 36 percent of U.S. consumers said they would be happy to receive vouchers/gift cards.
Several TikTok users were in stitches over the Christmas gift idea suggested in the latest viral clip.

Jeffrey Wilson noted that the gift receiver will “be like where’s the rest of it [the gift] lol.”
User mhayrhe said: “I was waiting to see some gifts not this.”
Shellylove3 wrote: “lol….. I actually waited to see what gift he got her.”
User n_kole.DS asked: “Why did I know you were gonna do this???”
