A ballet dancer has left internet viewers in stitches after sharing her latest gaffe in a social-media video that has quickly gone viral on TikTok.

The hilarious post, originally shared in March under the username @myahampson0, shows all the ballerinas in the class stretching their backs by the bar, as the 20-year-old dancer from Manchester, United Kingdom, Mya Hampson, inadvertently bumps her head on another dancer’s bottom.

A caption shared along with the clip reads: “POV [Point of view] everyone actually turns up to the ballet class. When I tell you I was SCREAMING.”

Mya Hampson in the viral video. During a ballet class, the ballerina bumped her head somewhere “interesting.”

The poster told Newsweek: “We were in a ballet class at my dance university, and everyone had finished different rehearsals and jobs. So it was the first time the class had been full and busy for a while, which we clearly were not used to.

“We were all very close together on the bar and, during part of the exercise, my head went on a very interesting journey down the backside of the girl in front,” Hampson said.

Ballet doesn’t just look pretty to look at; it is also a complete body exercise that helps strengthen muscles and burn calories at the same time. Many gyms offer ballet-inspired fitness classes to help you stay healthy and have fun. These exercises mostly target workouts for abs, thighs, or glutes.

The video quickly went viral on social media, getting viewers from across TikTok. It has so far received over 4.3 million views and more than 821,000 likes on the platform.

One user, Tina, commented: “One time during ballet class the girl behind me said ‘I’m sorry if I eat your a** by accident.'” And Charis posted: “I’m not ballet material because I would’ve lost my s*** giggling if this happened to me.”

Brig2.0 wrote: “I was trying SO HARD to find what was funny bc [because] I thought it said ‘not everyone showed up to ballet’ and was staring at the door expecting an awkward entrance.”

BabyNae added: “Love this I was a ballet dancer for 15 years, and me and my dance partner would have [so much] fun giggling in class.”

Cherrylytical posted: “Lmaoooo [laughing my a** off] you’re supposed to turn away from the barre when class is that full.”
