A couple online is dedicated to keeping the spark alive, no matter how silly it looks.

A viral TikTok video posted by Lauren (@lifewithlcp) revealed an adorable moment captured on camera as she walked up her driveway “flirting” with her partner of 16 years. Since it was posted three days ago, the video has received 1.6 million likes and over 2,500 comments.

“POV: You’ve been together for 16 years and still flirt with one another,” she captioned the video. “Forever flirting.”

A couple smiles together. A video on TikTok has gone viral for capturing footage of a woman’s flirty gesture toward her husband who she’s been with for 16 years.

The video shows Lauren walking up the driveway while her husband whistles at her. She steps back into the frame and asks, “You like what you see?” while posing for the camera.

“I’m going to ride my scooter,” she said, trying to ride what is presumably the couple’s child’s scooter.

“Oh, you’re going to ride something tonight,” her husband replied, to which she laughed and told him she loved him.

Viewers in the comments were taken by the video, saying that if their relationship isn’t like this, then they don’t want it.

“If we ain’t flirting like this until we die together, then I don’t want it,” @taylorr_webster wrote.

“My husband and I are the same,” @fkbecca wrote. “Four years and going for more!”

Humor and Play in Relationships

Lauren and her partner frequently make content on TikTok about their relationship. A recent video of the two reveals their ultimate marriage advice: “Never stop surprising each other,” and “make sure to reciprocate affection”. Finally, “when in doubt, just grab the booty.” The video shows the pair pranking each other by giving one another licks on the cheek.

“Forever being silly with my love,” Lauren wrote about the video. “Don’t marry someone just to grow old, marry someone who keeps you young and having fun doing life together.”

In a study published in the journal Personal Relationships, researchers looked at the impact of playfulness and humor on relationships. They found that “playfulness between romantic partners is a crucial component in bonding and establishing relational security” and that shared laughter is a key indicator of romantic attraction.

“People say they want a sense of humor in a mate, but that’s a broad concept,” Jeffrey Hall, associate professor of communication studies at the University of Kansas, and author of the study, said. “That people think you are funny or you can make a joke out of anything is not strongly related to relationship satisfaction. What is strongly related to relationship satisfaction is the humor that couples create together.”

Certainly, Lauren and her partner are creating their own type of humor together, and after 16 years, they don’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon.
