Travis Kelce isn’t just the king of Taylor Swift’s heart, he’s also king of the Swifties.

While doing a live taping of their New Heights podcast in their hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio, Jason and Travis Kelce took the stage at their alma mater, the University of Cincinnati, to entertain an arena exploding with fans eager to see the NFL icons do their thing.

One of those things, much to the delight of the audience, was Travis dancing to the marching band’s rendition of Swift’s 2014 smash hit, “Shake It Off.”

“That’s one of my favorites,” the Kansas City Chiefs tight end called out after an audience member correctly guessed the hit.

While multiple moments from the brothers’ time in Cincinnati went viral — including Travis chugging a beer on stage and Jason’s wife, Kylie Kelce, hilariously hiding behind a cardboard cutout out her husband — it was Travis’ Swiftie moment that left fans stanning.

Multiple people pointed out that Travis was actually doing Swift’s own choreography during his onstage performance, while others commented on his love for 1989, the album that featured “Shake It Off” as a lead single.

“He is such a 1989 man and he loves Taylor!!!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰,” one fan wrote on a TikTok video of Travis’ dance moment.

“I just love Trav. He’s such a 1989 girlie,” another shared.

In fact, Travis has had several moments where his inner “1989 girlie” has shown through. In fact, the first sighting of the couple together — after the Chiefs game against the Chicago Bears in September 2023 — depicted Travis in a white denim fit that featured light blue paint splatters (the color scheme for the Grammy winner’s 2014 album). He’s also sang, or lip-synched to, “Bad Blood” — another one of Swift’s biggest singles from the record — multiple times, including on a recent golf outing with former NBA star Chandler Parsons. But he didn’t stop there with the 1989 references: eagle-eyed Swifties also pointed out that his hat featured the year 1989, as well as an embroidered archer (the latter being either an unintended Easter egg or a pointed reference to Swift’s “The Archer,” off of her 2018 album Lover.)

Of course, Travis — like all Swifties — doesn’t just stick to one of her albums: he’s also made reference to Reputation (by making a sly reference to “…Ready for It” at the 2024 Super Bowl in February) and Speak Now (by dancing, with Swift, at the Super Bowl after-party to The Chainsmokers’ remix of “Love Story,” a forever fan-favorite off of Speak Now.)

Now, as Swift gears up to release The Tortured Poets Department (out April 19), Travis is just as thrilled as the rest of the world.

“I have heard some of it, yes,” he told the press during a Super Bowl press conference in February. “It is unbelievable, I can’t wait for her to shake up the world when it finally drops.”
