Target’s response to Kourtney Kardashian’s recent Instagram post is sparking a backlash against the retail chain—and also the reality star.

Kardashian announced that her vitamin and supplement brand, Lemme, had landed at Target on Monday, sharing photos from the launch event to celebrate.

Wearing a satin blazer as a dress, Kardashian pouted while pretending to push one of Target’s red shopping carts next to an oversized mock-up of a store receipt bearing the names of several of her brand’s products, while other photos show the 44-year-old striking poses by her new in-store display.

“Breakfast at Tttttt… @target‼️” she wrote alongside the reel.

The retail chain appeared on Kardashian’s “mood board” during Lemme’s conception stages, with the entrepreneur eschewing fancy L.A. restaurants to hold the launch event at a Target store.

“Thank you to Target and my wonderful Lemme team for making all of my breakfast at Target dreams come true,” she added.

The company also appears to be thrilled with the collaboration, with Target’s Instagram commenting on the post.

“Knowing I was on ur mood board is my favorite fact of the day,” the retailer’s account joked, although the light-hearted quip sparked a negative response from some Instagrammers.

“You’re making them money and [do] they really shop at Target? I bet they don’t lol,” wrote Mary Ellen Potter, tagging the company in her comment.

“This makes me not wanna shop at Target,” said Edyth R. “Remember [you’re] supposed to cater to everyone, not the 1%.”

“NEVER SHOPPING THERE EVER AGAIN,” declared Cyan, while cat_trus said: “Nice try.”

However, other users defended the “iconic” partnership.

“Love this for you!” commented @tymetheinfamous.

“This is epic and I will never see Target the same!” said Virginia Nazari.

“Why are people so bitter?” asked Shinksy William. “If you can’t afford it, buy where you can afford it, she isn’t forcing you to buy.”

Newsweek has reached out to Kourtney Kardashian and Target via Instagram for comment.

Kardashian founded Lemme in 2022, along with close friend and PR executive, Simon Huck. The brand promises to make customers feel “divine.”

“After years of struggling to find the right supplements, I embarked on a journey to create science-backed products that you would legitimately look forward to taking every day,” Kardashian said in a press release announcing the launch.

In January, an Instagram promo for Lemme Sleep raised eyebrows. Kardashian shared a video of herself preparing for bed, with viewers perplexed by the mom-of-four’s “odd” routine.

Kardashian lit a candle and flicked through a book labeled 365 Bible Stories in the brief clip, before turning to “Ssh” the camera.

After popping a Lemme Sleep gummy and putting on a monogrammed eye mask, The Kardashians star pretended to go to sleep, with followers unsure what to make of the snippet.

“She has lost her mind,” wrote one user, while another asked: “How am I supposed to sleep when this has me cracking [the f***] up?”
