Dogs want nothing more than to be by their owner’s side 24/7, but unfortunately, owners cannot bring them everywhere. That’s why dogs will put on their best begging faces as owners run out the door.

In a January 9 TikTok video, a dog owner was getting ready to head out the door. As the owner looked over, her Australian shepherd was standing right by her side. The poor pup looked so upset because well, there was only a 50-50 chance she would be coming too.

The text on the video reads: “My dog making herself extra smol because she’s not sure if this is an us walk or a me walk.”

The dog looked defeated with her head hanging down. The owner even said in the caption she was giving the “Puss in Boots” look. She must’ve thought it was not her time to shine. But thankfully, luck would be on her side.

The dog’s attitude changed as soon as she realized it was a “them walk.” She was smiling and strutting her way down the sidewalk. The owner even let her run around off-leash in a park.

As of Wednesday, the clip had over 2.8 million views, 643,100 likes, and 658 comments with viewers instantly falling in love with the preciousness of the video. There was not a dry eye in the comments section either.

“Even if it wasn’t going to be an ‘us walk,’ once she gives you that look you, you have no choice,” commented a viewer.

Another added: “The way she looks at you after she finds out it’s an us walk is making me sob.”

One user called the dog “the cutest manipulator.”

You might think there is nothing to walking your dog. You put them on a leash, grab a doggy bag, and head out the door. But because daily walks are crucial for their health, providing them with mental and physical stimulation, you must take them on proper walks.

Dog owners should avoid rushing bathroom breaks. Yes, it can be hard as people’s schedules are go, go, go from the moment they wake up, but a dog’s bathroom break is its time to learn about other dogs in the area. The American Kennel Club stated that where a dog decides to go to the bathroom is not only about relieving itself but also about communicating with the world.

Dogs should also get the proper time to sniff and explore. A dog sees the world through its nose. Dogs’ sense of smell is about 10,000 times greater than a human’s. Taking a dog away from sniffing will prevent them from taking in the world around and lessen its mental stimulation.

Remember, a dog’s walk is the highlight of its day. Give its the proper time and dedication to get the exercise it needs.
