A dog owner has melted hearts online after sharing a clip of her dog, randomly showing her love as she is lying on the couch, in a clip that has gone viral on social media.
The video, shared on TikTok earlier in October, under the username Miamiamihoe, shows the Doberman sitting by her owner as she scrolls through her phone, when all of a sudden, she gets closer and grabs her hand with her paw as if she were trying to remind her how much she loves her.
The poster also shared a caption along with the viral clip that says: “She did this so randomly.”
All dog owners love their pups unconditionally, but do dogs love their owners back? According to VCA Animal Hospital, it turns out they do.
“Science proves that part of the canine brain is associated with positive emotions and they do, indeed, feel love for their human companions,” their website says.
There are many signs that prove your dog loves you, but perhaps the most obvious one is their excitement to see you. If your dog jumps or barks or gets overly excited when you step through the door, that’s because they couldn’t wait to have you back home.
Your dog may give you “presents,” try to sleep in the bed with you, or follow you around the house, or maybe it’s looking at you with loving eyes.
The video quickly went viral on social media, getting viewers from across TikTok. It has so far received over 1.1 million views and 247,800 likes on the platform.
One user, reeceshareexe, commented: “That means they trust and love you.” And Nala said: “the way she instantly grabs her hand back. I love when my dog shows me love back lol.”
Lunes.cosplay wrote: “Can we talk about how relatable the TikTok scrolling position is?? She just wanted to be part of it.” And Bradley Smith said: “My dobe does this lol or just puts her head on my arm and stares at me.”
Another user, Ayanna Black, pointed out: “It’s cute but I’m over here thinking she saw or heard something and got scared.” And Chappelle joked: “Aww my dog would’ve bit my hand.”
