On 11 September 2001, New York ferry captains turned organisers of the USA’s largest ever maritime evacuation.
Over dozens of journeys, they evacuated practically 500,000 folks by boat from southern Manhattan and took them to security.
Boat captains Richard Naruszewicz, Greg Freitas and Sean Kennedy replicate on that day 20 years in the past.
