The Pretty Bones writer Alice Sebold apologises to man cleared of her rape – BBC Information
American writer Alice Sebold has apologised for her half within the wrongful conviction of a person who was cleared final week of raping her in 1981.

In her memoir Fortunate, she described being raped and later telling police she had seen a black man on the street whom she believed was her attacker.

Anthony Broadwater was arrested and convicted, spending 16 years in jail.

An announcement from Mr Broadwater, launched by way of his attorneys, stated he was “relieved that she has apologised”.

In Ms Sebold’s apology assertion, she stated: “I’m sorry most of all for the truth that the life you may have led was unjustly robbed from you, and I do know that no apology can change what occurred to you and by no means will.”
