Our brains might be a little dusty from the weekend and as we get back into the swing of the week could do with a helping hand solving Monday’s Wordle.

The daily puzzle requires users to solve a mystery five-letter word by typing in their guess and solving it in six attempts or less. It can be played on the Wordle app or website.

Players are helped along with a color-coded tile system. If you get a letter right that tile will turn green, but if it’s wrong and that letter does not appear in the word at all it will turn gray.

Yellow tiles tell you that you got a letter that appears in the word but it just happens to be in the wrong spot.

The game was invented by Welsh-born and New York- based software engineer Josh Wardle. Wordle became so popular after it went public in late 2021 that it was bought by The New York Times in January 2022 for an undisclosed seven-figure sum.
