Tom Brady Reveals He Would End Retirement For One Specific Reason

Could we see the return of future Hall of Famer and NFL superstar quarterback Tom Brady this season? It’s unlikely, but don’t count it out.

In a recent appearance on DeepCut with YouTuber and TikToker hair stylist VicBlends, Brady said he “wouldn’t be opposed” to a comeback to the NFL if a team makes the call in an emergency situation.

“If they would—I don’t know if they’re going to let me if I become an owner of an NFL team. But I don’t know. I don’t know, I’m always going to be in good shape, always going to be able to throw the ball.”

Brady mentioned the New England Patriots and the Las Vegas Raiders as hypothetical situations when discussing the topic with VicBlends. The 46-year-old last played in the NFL in 2022 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion mentioned his bid to join NFL team ownership. It would be notable if he keeps making progress to becoming a minority owner for the Raiders and if that hypothetical situation pans out. That would eliminate him from competing as a player if it pans out.

Don’t count out Brady just yet. As he stated, he will always be in good shape, and I’m sure this isn’t the first time he’s thought about or had conversations about this topic. Brady first retired after the 2021 season, only to announce he would come back for the 2022 season.

The guy is a fiery competitor who will always have the passion to play and stay in shape to play with the best athletes in the world. In his career, no one has or ever might touch his resume. Outside of being a seven-time Super Bowl champion, he is a five-time Super Bowl MVP, three-time NFL MVP, two-time Offensive Player of the Year, three-time First-team All-Pro, 15-time Pro Bowler, NFL 2000s All-Decade Team, NFL 2010s All-Decade Team, and is a part of the NFL 100th Anniversary All-Time Team.

We’re not ruling out Brady, but the likelihood of a team calling him seems dim. However, last season, starting quarterbacks suffered injuries like none other. Many backup quarterbacks had a chance to shine, but they weren’t Brady’s age.

Many NFL fans would love to see another Brady comeback, while I’m sure others would hate it. Still, if that hypothetical situation were to come to reality, it would be something to witness. Brady has proven that his age is only a number, especially after winning a Super Bowl ring at the age of 43.
