Extra folks can be eligible for a pardon for historic felony convictions regarding gay exercise, the UK authorities has stated.
It means anybody convicted or cautioned for consensual gay exercise, below now-abolished legal guidelines, can apply to have them “disregarded”.
The convictions can be wiped from report and an automated pardon given.
Residence Secretary Priti Patel stated she hoped the revised scheme “would go some approach to righting the wrongs of the previous”.
