As the end of the tax season approaches, millions of Americans who are yet to file their returns can do so online or via mail.
Federal tax returns are due nationwide on April 15 this year, but not every filer should send their return to the same address. Where you should send your returns is different for every state, and if you’re just filing documents and also paying via mail, you might need a different address.
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) encourages people to complete and pay returns online, and warns that processing paper taxes can take several weeks longer due to staffing issues.
