Supporters of former President Donald Trump are celebrating an electoral victory 4,000 miles away in the Netherlands just days after rejoicing a win in Argentina.

Geert Wilders, a far-right populist Dutch lawmaker who’s been called the Dutch Donald Trump, is forecast to be the next prime minister of the Netherlands after his Freedom Party won 37 seats in a political upset on Wednesday night. Wilders, who has typically defined by his anti-European Union stance and dislike of Islam, ran on an anti-immigration campaign that vowed to return the country “to the Dutch.” Trump himself ran on a similar slogan of “Make America Great Again.”

Trump supporters cheered Wilders’ victory on Thursday morning, suggesting that the shocking news from the Netherlands could be a sign that a similar candidate will win the U.S. presidential election next year.

“Geert Wilders has now won a whopping 37 seats in the Dutch parliament. No other political party has had a victory of this proportion in over 2 decades. Wilders wants to take the Netherlands out of the EU and has vowed to implement a ‘zero refugee’ policy,” popular conservative account @EndWokeness said in a post on X, formerly Twitter. “This is just the first domino of many.”

Responding to Elon Musk, who replied “yes” to the initial tweet, End Wokeness added, “The anti-globalist movement is growing basically everywhere. People are sick and tired of seeing their nations disappear before their very eyes.”

Wilders’s win comes less than a week after far-right libertarian Javier Milei won Argentina’s runoff election on Sunday and became the president-elect. Milei has also drawn comparisons to Trump and The New York Times called his victory “Argentina’s Donald Trump Moment.”

End Wokeness also celebrated Milei’s win earlier in the week, declaring that “History has been made.”

Ben Geller, a managing partner of the conservative group Today is America, told Newsweek, said the victories abroad give many conservatives in the U.S. hope.

“Seeing the pendulum swing back away from supposed Socialist rule gives Americans hope,” Geller said, adding that “the energy is shifting, and people all around the world want their voice to be heard by their representatives.”

The results 5,600 miles away in Argentina had been largely embraced by members of the MAGA movement who applauded the country’s paper ballots. Many of the election fraud claims that were propagated by Trump supporters, Trump allies and the former president himself alleged that electronic voting equipment threatens election security.

MyPillow CEO and Trump loyalist Mike Lindell, who is facing several defamation lawsuits over the election fraud claims he’s made about Dominion Voting Systems and Smartmatic, celebrated the paper ballots in Argentina on an episode of Steve Bannon’s War Room podcast on Monday.

Trump delivered a congratulatory message to Milei as well, recording a video in which he tells the president-elect he’s “very proud” of him and that he’ll “make Argentina great again.”

End Wokeness also celebrated other far-right wins across the world over X, including Germany, Finland, Sweden, France, Spain, El Salvador and two in the U.S.—Trump’s lead in the polls against President Joe Biden and Republican William Cogswell’s win in Charleston, South Carolina. Cogswell was elected to the mayor’s office this week, making him the first GOP mayor of the most populous city in the state since 1877.

Geller said that he thinks the Democratic Party has moved so far to the left that it’s become unrelatable to the electorate and voters, which has in turn shifted party registration even in deep blue states.

“Call me crazy though I believe Donald Trump wins 2024 in a landslide,” he said.

People gather to hear former President Donald Trump speak as he endorses local candidates at the Mohegan Sun Arena on September 03, 2022 in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Trump supporters are celebrating the victory of Geert Wilders, who is projected to be the next prime minister of the Netherlands.
