In December, Williams announced they would unveil their challenger for the 2024 Formula 1 season on February 5, 2024.

We now know that the launch will take place at a “special event” in New York City.

The team teased the release with an update on their website on Friday, confirming their launch date for February 5 and announcing the event in New York. “The new Williams Racing campaign will officially begin on Monday 5 February with a special event in New York City,” was the description on the team’s website.

A season ago both Red Bull and AlphaTauri held events in New York City to unveil their challengers for the 2023 campaign, the RB19 and the AT04. Red Bull introduced the world to the RB19 at a live event in New York City last February, while also announcing a future partnership with Ford.

AlphaTauri’s 2023 launch coincided with New York Fashion Week.

Williams is coming off a strong season, as they finished seventh in the Constructors’ Championship, up from a last-place finish during the 2022 season. They are returning both Alexander Albon and American driver Logan Sargeant to their lineup for the 2024 campaign.
