Thrifting is a growing trend among the younger generations, and some people manage to find the most incredible deals.
A young woman recently went viral after sharing her latest thrift haul on social media, and the internet still can’t get over what she ended up getting with a budget of only $18.
In the viral video shared on TikTok on Thursday, under the username parsyluvr, the poster said that with her limited budget, she managed to buy an entire outfit, complete with boots and two bags, because she couldn’t choose, and it also came with a surprise.
The first item she picks up in the video is a red Veni Beach cami top, we she says gives off “Italian girl aesthetics,” and was only $2.

Then she says: “For the bottoms, I found the most perfect black mini skirt, it was princess Paulie, and for $4 I had to get it.”
Next, she chose a pair of black knee-high heeled boots to complete her look, which she only paid about $8 for.
Moving to the accessory isle, she first found an animal print bag for about $4, but then she also laid her eyes on a black authentic Coach bag that she couldn’t leave behind. And lucky for her she ended up buying both.
When she opened the second bag, she was a small wallet inside with “a bit of extra cash.” The was about $32 in the wallet, which made her outfit free, and gave her a profit of $14.
The post comes with a caption that says: “Come thrift an outfit with me $18 budget. Take home $14 = free outfit.” Followed by: “Thrift ep 9 | who said thrift stores were expensive.”
According to Statista, the global apparel thrifting market was valued at $14 billion in 2021, and it was projected to grow to about $51 billion by 2026.
The increase in sales, according to Statista, is due to customers become more conscious of their buying behavior, especially younger generations, with less disposable income.
The video quickly went viral on social media, getting viewers from across TikTok. It has so far received over 541,500 views and 70,000 views on the platform.
One user, damnGina_xoxo, commented: “The thrift gods were with u the whole thrift trip.” And bethhtok said: “The cash!!! I’m gonna check every purses pockets now.” Alina added: “Envious would be an understatement.”
