A social media video of two cat siblings reuniting with each other after one had been at the vet for a few day has tugged at heartstrings across the internet.

The viral video, which has been viewed more than 2.5 million times since it was first shared to TikTok on November 30, captured Spooky the cat’s reaction to seeing her brother Winston after he returned home from a stint at the veterinary hospital.

The cats’ owner, who manages the pair’s @winstonandspooky TikTok account, explained in the video that Spooky had never lived a day of her life without having her brother by her side.

“Watch my cat reunite with her brother after never living a single day of her life without him,” the cats’ owner wrote in the post.

“Winston was dealing with some health issues and spent the last couple of days at the vet. During that time, Spooky was very inactive and didn’t really get out of bed expect to eat since she didn’t know where he was.”

Audiences were then shown a clip of the upset cat switching up moods and racing to the front door after realizing that her owners had brought Winston home.

The cats’ owner described their reunion: “As soon as she heard the garage, she ran down to see if it was her brother. We let him out and they gave each other some love.”

“Spooky was happy to have her brother home and healthy again,” they added.

The pair were shown licking each other and rubbing their snouts together, a common sign of affection between most animals.

The post had been captioned: “This was one of the sweetest days of all time.”
