A residential and industrial constructing within the metropolis of Kaohsiung caught fireplace within the early hours of Thursday morning, the native fireplace division stated.
It took firefighters greater than 4 hours to extinguish the blaze.
The fireplace division instructed the BBC that 79 individuals had been taken to hospital, together with 14 in a severe situation.
The reason for the hearth is unclear and investigators are on the scene.
