In an interview with CNN’s Dana Bash on Tuesday, Republican Representative Ken Buck of Colorado took aim at Donald Trump after he suddenly resigned from his position in Congress.

“I’m resigning my seat and creating a vacancy in my district,” Buck explained. “Everywhere I go in Colorado, Dana, I hear that people are not happy with Trump, and they’re not happy with [Joe] Biden. And I think we need to change our electoral laws here. And I have a passion for that.”

This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.

Rep. Ken Buck leaves the House Chamber as the House of Representatives holds a vote to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas at the U.S. Capitol on February 6, 2024, in Washington, D.C.
