After launching a bid to oust Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, Marjorie Taylor Greene continues attacking her fellow Republican congressman, accusing him of betraying the party and siding with “Chuck Schumer and the Democrats.”

The MAGA Republican repeatedly referred to the Congress’ bipartisan funding bill as “the Mike Johnson-Chuck Schumer uniparty minibus,” on X, formerly Twitter.

Greene has opposed the $1.2 trillion federal spending package which Congress passed last week, averting a government shutdown and granting funding for three-quarters of the government for the next six months.

She then filed a motion to vacate Johnson on Friday, but failed to gain support from other Republicans, including Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida, whose motion removed former Speaker Kevin McCarthy in October.

Greene said that the motion should be considered as “more of a warning than a pink slip” to Johnson. But the Georgia Republican is still apparently furious at the House Speaker.

Newsweek contacted Greene’s spokesperson for comment by email early on Tuesday, and called Mike Johnson’s office for comment outside standard working hours.

In one of four of social media posts blasting Johnson, Greene accused Johnson of failing to support “policies aimed at curbing the FBI’s use of politicized abuses and the administration’s broader use of the federal government against political rivals through censorship,” claiming that instead of stopping it, he funded this same behavior.

Claims of the alleged weaponization of the Department of Justice against a mix of conservative groups have been pushed forward by Republicans in recent years, including embattled former president Donald Trump, but lack any evidence.

In another post, Greene accused Johnson of siding with Schumer and Democrats “to push us further toward the brink of World War 3.” She wrote on X: “The uniparty minibus provides $300 million in funding for the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative. We should be demanding peace, not funding foreign wars!”

Greene also interpreted the increase on the cap on the president’s authority to provide foreign assistance in the interest of national security to $500 million from $250 million for 2024 as “more money for Zelenskyy.”

Greene has long called for the U.S. to stop sending aid to Ukraine, even as this assistance has proven crucial for Kyiv to continue fighting against the Russian invasion and a majority of Americans (58 percent) favor providing military and economic aid to the country, according to a study by the Chicago Council on Global Affairs.

But Greene is likely appealing to a majority of GOP voters. A majority of Democrats (75 percent) and Independents (54 percent) backs sending more military aid to Ukraine, while a majority of Republicans (53 percent) is against it, the Chicago Council on Global Affairs survey also showed. And similarly, a majority of Democrats (78 percent) and Independents (54 percent) is in favor of sending economic assistance to Kyiv, against 58 percent of Republicans who oppose it.

In yet another post, Greene blamed Johnson for the alleged “aiding and abetting of ILLEGALS in the interior of our country.” She added: “Migrant Shelters: Provide $650 million for the Shelter and Services Program that reimburses local governments and nonprofits that support individuals released from DHS custody.”

The Shelter and Services Program (SSP) is a federal initiative that provides funds to non-federal entities that offer shelter and other services to noncitizen migrants who have been encountered by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and released from custody while awaiting the outcome of their immigration proceedings.

Giving additional funds to the SSP should help border communities who have been largely overwhelmed by the significant influx of migrants in the past few years.
