Videos shared on social media show chaotic scenes as a man was shot on the New York subway in Brooklyn on Thursday night.
The incident started as a verbal altercation between two men on the northbound A train and escalated into a physical fight. As the train was approaching the Hoyt-Schermerhorn station, one of the men, 36, pulled out a gun. The other man, 32, wrestled the gun away from him and shot him several times, according to police. The 36-year-old was critically wounded.
Passengers aboard the train appear terrified as they cowered at the opposite end of the train.
