How many times have you found yourself struggling to walk in heels or keep your hair in place? A model has shared a few of the best hacks she’s learned at her job, and these top three will surely make your life easier.

In a video shared to TikTok on Tuesday, under the username @marygracetropeano, the model, who is based in the United Kingdom, shares a few of the most handy tips that she has learned at work to make her glamorous job a little easier.

Tropeano’s first tip is about what to do when you get new shoes. A caption reads: “Life hacks I learned after becoming a model. Cutting the bottom of new shoes to help you walk without slipping.”

Next, Tropeano says how to protect your ankles when walking in heels: “Applying deodorant to prevent blisters from new shoes.” And last but not least, she tells viewers how to make your hair look put together: “Using hair remover brush to reduce static and keep your hair in place.”

The poster told Newsweek that she began her modeling journey at the age of 5 in Milan, before moving to London to expand her career.

Tropeano said: “Amid the pandemic, I ventured into social media, in particular, TikTok where I initiated the modeling Gen Z movement. I showcased behind-the-scenes moments, synchronized posing with music beats, and much more!

“Recently, a hack I highlighted, cutting the bottom of new shoes for better grip, was utilized at a shoot, prompting me to reflect on the myriad hacks I’ve encountered throughout my years in modeling. So I decided to make a series about it and share [it] with my followers,” Tropeano added.

While they surely help our looks, heels can also damage our bodies when worn too often. Banner Health says that high heels can lead to an imbalance, poor posture, pain, and other foot problems.

“You could develop a deformity called Haglund’s deformity, or pump bump, a bony formation on your heel that’s created over time as your shoes rub up and down or press into the back of your feet,” the website adds.

Moreover, you could end up with a heel spur, which is a bony growth of calcium deposit occurring either in the back of or under your heel or beneath the sole of your foot.

The video quickly went viral on social media, getting viewers from across Instagram. It has so far received over 3.1 million views and more than 105,000 likes on the platform in four days.
