All dogs love hanging around the house, exploring new areas, but while you may think they have seen all of it, there are parts they’ve never had the chance to investigate properly.
A dog owner from Illinois decided to show her pup, a bichon frisé and Shih Tzu mix, every possible place that he has never had the chance to see because it is all too out of reach.
In a viral video, shared on TikTok in March, under the username @reagan.kaner, the young woman shows her pup all the most unthinkable places, including the inside of the fridge, and above the fridge, the pantry, the dryer, and even inside the microwave. A caption reads: “Showing my dog places in my house that he’s never seen before. He got a treat after this [don’t worry].”
Newsweek reached out to @reagan.kaner for comment via TikTok comments. We could not verify the details of the case.
The bichon frisé and a Shih Tzu mix is known as shichon, and these dogs are usually said to be very affectionate and friendly. The Bichon World website says that they were bred about two or three decades ago to create a pup that was suitable for people with allergies, while still retaining the small size of a Shih Tzu and the behavioral characteristics of a bichon frisé.
The video quickly went viral on social media, getting viewers from across TikTok. It has so far received over 4.2 million views and more than 1 million likes on the platform.
One user, Alyssa, commented: “You and your dog give off the same energy I love it.” And Janey wanney #swaggitty swag posted: “Now he thinks there is a phone in all those places.”
MFBRAINIAC wrote: “Oh my gosh I thought I was the only one who did this.” And spam added: “My dog has in fact seen the top of the fridge cause he thinks he’s a cat.”
Another user, ….avr1l, commented: “I love doing this with my cat I let him smell and look at everything I touch.” And Panayiota posted: “Oh my dog knows the top of the fridge he my brother puts him up there as a joke.”
Sophie x added: “My dog can’t relate, he’s taught himself how to open the fridge and he just goes in there and eats carrots out of it.”
